Connect 4 with Special Pieces!

There are 3 special pieces:

  • Horizontal Eraser: Erases ALL pieces on the same horizontal line.
  • Diagonal Eraser: Erases ALL pieces on its diagonals.
  • Color Changer: Changes the color of the pieces directly above, below, to the left, and to the right to the opposite color.

Special pieces affect both players equally. If you drop a Color Changer piece next to one of your own pieces, it will still change color. The same applies to the Erasers, which erase all pieces.

Much better, you could also add more sounds, for example, when a piece moves before being placed. Also, add mini animations when there is a scene change. I think for the beginning of the game, you should include an animated tutorial on how to play that covers all the mechanics. This would make the game much more complete. Finally, you could add simple shadows to the pieces and also to the board, and if you think it's better, to the buttons as well. You should also reduce the scale of the buttons. If you did this, it would be easier for someone new to your game to not feel overwhelmed. Overall, I liked it even more. I think you have a lot of potential, I’m also creating my own little game, still in development, it’s just my first game. If you want to see it and help me improve it, I’d be grateful. I hope this text helps you improve, even though your game is already good.

I really liked the simplicity of your game. I think you should make it more polished, for example, by adding more animations instead of just having the piece teleport to the side. You could also animate the instructions at the beginning of the game. Overall, I liked it and I think if you add more smoothness to the game, it will be very satisfying to play.

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm taking it into account and already working on an update. Honestly, I didn't think anyone would play it, and I was planning to leave it as it was, but your comment has really encouraged me. Thank you for playing the game, and I'm glad you found it fun. When I have the update ready, I can let you know if you'd like to try it. :)
